Each photoshoot is 30 minutes and in groups of up to 5 babies/toddler

A creative and fun session with award winning photographer Zac Macaulay and one of our fully qualified swimming teachers! During the shoot, several shots will be taken and the best 4 will be selected and professionally edited and a digital copy of the final versions provided to you.

We expect to shoot each baby/child about 3-5 times underwater during your 30-minute session and during each dip take between 2-8 shots. Our First Swim teacher will be on hand to guide you and your babies and help to decide how many dips your baby is capable of doing. It might be more or less than 3-5 dips and depends on the health and happiness of baby on the day!

There will be a maximum of 5 babies/toddlers in the water during your 30-minute session.

One adult in the pool per child please. We have a brilliant spectator area where others are welcome to come along to watch.

Zac Macaulay has been photographing babies underwater for over 15 years all over London and the South of England and is one of very few full-time underwater photographers working in the UK today. Zac has won three international awards for his underwater work including:

The cost is £150 and this covers attending the photo shoot and 4 professionally edited, high resolution digital images!

Please note that the cost does not include any printing or supplementary products such as posters or frames.

If you would like more than 4 images once reviewed, extras can be ordered for a fee of £16.50 per image

Appropriate swimwear for you and your little one. For health, safety and hygiene reasons, we do operate a strict double nappy system for all babies and toddlers until they are fully toilet trained. This helps us to avoid mishaps and keep the pool and environment as clean and as comfortable as possible for all our visitors!

The double nappy system is a disposable swim nappy worn underneath our swim smart nappy (a reusable neoprene swim nappy) The swim smart nappy should fit snugly around the child’s waist and thighs. We sell both nappies at our reception. Oh, and don’t forget towels!

The safety and well being of all children attending a First Swim Photoshoot is our priority.

Ideally your baby or child should have attended six weeks of lessons to ensure the best results from the photoshoot, so they can do a approx 3-5 dips during the 30 minutes. All children attending the photoshoot need to be comfortable in the water and are able to be handled by a First Swim teacher. We do not recommend attending a First Swim photoshoot if your child is not fully comfortable in the water.

Our swim teachers are trained to appropriately handle children in the water and will use cues to prompt activity in the water, enabling our professional photographer to capture images.

Approx 3/4 weeks after the photo shoot you will receive an email containing a link to your high-resolution jpeg images. These images can be downloaded to your computer and are yours to keep – so you can frame, print and reproduce as you see fit!

If you wish to cancel your booking more than 14 days before the photo shoot, you will receive a full refund less an administration charge of £20. Cancellations within 14 days’ will result in a credit note being issued, less an administration charge of £20, which can be redeemed against purchases from First Swim Ltd.

Refunds cannot be issued should you be unable to attend the photoshoot on the day (due to sickness for example)
