Swim Centre Assistant Manager – Twickenham – £28,000-£31,000 (dependent on experience)

We are looking for an Assistant Manager for our Twickenham branch, reporting to the Swim Centre Manager. This is a full-time role, with shifts varying across 7 days, including weekends.

Primary duties include management of the premises and supporting and serving our customers, whilst maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and safety.

You will be responsible for leading the front of house team and managing the Pool Plant procedures and will be required to identify and resolve compliance issues and report/escalate operational risks and any safety and maintenance issues.

You’ll provide your team with direction and support, ensuring they are clear on their working schedule whilst keeping to company processes, procedures and policies.You will need to monitor and maintain water quality and bather comfort in our pool.

This is a hands-on role, and as such you will be involved in day-to-day routines, including managing the availability of both consumable and sellable stock items. You will be responsible for ensuring the premises are kept clean, safe, warm, and welcoming.

You’ll be pro-active, a good communicator, computer literature and motivated – with excellent attention to detail.

Helpful, not essential:

The ideal individual will also be able to perform a teaching shift each week, and act as holiday/illness teacher cover as and when it occurs. So, a Baby and Pre-school qualification will strengthen your application, as will having a good appreciation of pool water safety and pool plant operations.

Customer Service Assistant – £12.10 per hour

Shifts do vary, however will typically include a weekend day most weeks and you must be willing to work through up to 19:00 in the evening. Duties include helping run the premises each day, aiding and serving our customers, taking bookings, completing safety checks, managing correspondence and keeping things clean, maintaining the very highest standards of hygiene and safety. The successful applicant must be willing to travel between Twickenham and Chiswick pools.

Swim Instructors – ££ competitive rates

We are always on the look out for talented instructors who have the necessary STA qualification (Level 2 Baby and Pre-school Swimming), are warm and caring people and who have a real affinity with our customers. First Swim Instructors are organised and prepare well for their lessons, they utilise their experience and develop lesson plans that not only deliver the requirements of our unique scheme of work, but also provide engaging, safe and fun activities for our little ones (and of course their accompanying adults).
