• The Bright Start Babies Swim Stage has 8 progressive levels starting from 6 weeks old to approximately 2 years of age.

    Bright Start Babies Level 1 is a course for babies from 6 weeks of age up to max 15 months of age with no swimming experience

    Course content:
    • Introduction to the pool and swimming, helping baby to adapt to surroundings.
    • Activities that stimulate baby’s senses, learning nursery rhymes and songs to engage baby and put them at ease.
    • Adult learning skills to maximise fun, bonding and safety, learning how to help baby be at ease in and under the water.

    Bright Start Babies Level 2 is a course for babies who have completed Bright Start Babies Level 1 with us or equivalent

    Course Content:
    • Continuing to help baby settle and enjoy the pool environment.
    • Use of toys and songs to engage baby and develop water confidence, in order to be at ease in and under the water.
    • Adult learning skills to maximise fun, bonding and safety.

    • Activities that develop new swim skills that babies are learning.
    • Adult confidently using skills that maximise fun, bonding and safety.

    Bright Start Babies Level 4 is a course for babies who have completed Bright Start Babies Level 3 with us or equivalent

    • Help baby confidently travel in the pool.
    • Activities that develop new swim skills acquired, and encourage water confidence.
    • Adult continuing to support babies learning and helping baby to become more independent.

    Bright Start Babies Level 5 is a course for babies who have completed Bright Start Babies Level 4 with us or equivalent

    Course content:
    • Baby independently moving around the pool (with buoyancy aids and or adult support)
    • Activities that develop swim skills and co-ordination.
    • Adult support and guide baby with learning.

    Bright Start Babies Level 6 is a course for babies who have completed Bright Start Babies Level 5 with us or equivalent

    Course content:
    • Babies practicing safe entry and exits with adult support.
    • Babies moving around the pool confidently.
    • More advanced activities that help strength and coordination.
    • Adult continue to guide baby especially in promoting safety as they are by now quite confident.

    Bright Start Babies Level 7 is a course for babies who have completed Bright Start Babies Level 6 with us or equivalent

    Course content:
    • Improve and progress swim skills and utilise practices learned to develop a greater water confidence.
    • Introduction of more advanced practices- starting to gain the skills needed to prepare for Babies Level 8 and then onwards to the talented toddler phase.

    • Continue to progress swim skills and use practices to develop a greater water confidence.
    • Introduction of more advanced practices in preparation for talented toddler phase.
